These include White Porcelain Bonded to Metal (Crowns rather than Porcelain Veneers). These are extremely resilient and long lasting. Moreover, they are more durable than porcelain by itself. This white porcelain bonded to metal requires filing of more of the natural tooth than Porcelain Veneers. However, these have some disadvantages like the patient might get allergic to metal and therefore, might not be able to wear this thing for a longer time. Moreover, there are the possibility of some initial temperature discomfort also. The other alternatives are Gold Alloys, Metal Mixed Alloys and indirect composites. All these options are also good for patients who want to opt for the replacement of decayed tooth or teeth.
