8th FIFA Master's course 2007-2008 - new pamphlets available and application deadline set

FIFA.com
The International Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport - the one-year postgraduate sports course known as the FIFA Master's and endorsed by FIFA - is preparing to welcome applicants for the 8th year in 2007-2008.

The application deadline has been set for Wednesday, 28 February 2007. Application forms can be downloaded from the FIFA Master's homepage, www.FIFAmaster.org or requested in the new pamphlet, now available, which can also be downloaded or requested online.

Since October 2000, FIFA, CIES (International Center for Sports Studies), and the three partner universities, De Montfort University (Leicester, United Kingdom), SDA Bocconi School of Management (Milan, Italy) and the Université de Neuchâtel (Neuchâtel, Switzerland), have been collaborating to offer this unique postgraduate degree, taught on three different European campuses.

Through a well-balanced programme, covering the humanities of sport (ethics, history, sociology etc.), sports management (strategy, marketing, finance, organisation) and sports law (sport and health, sports business and law, methods of dispute resolution, status of the sportsperson etc.), the FIFA Master's aims to provide the right skills, knowledge and understanding of the key issues that sport is facing today and in the future.

In addition to "academic excellence" and "sport industry knowledge", the two pillars of the programme, the FIFA Master's truly brings an unequalled multi-cultural dimension through the 25 to 30 postgraduates, who usually come from no fewer than 20 countries.

Furthermore, besides a rich academic curriculum and a real multicultural experience, the FIFA Master's does its best to integrate the "real world" - the sports business world - into the theoretical framework, by involving more than a hundred high-level sports executives who are invited to share their expertise and experience, and through various study visits to prestigious sports organisations (FIFA, IOC, UEFA, Manchester United, London2012, Inter Milan, International Cycling Union, Bolton Wanderers, Rugby Football Union etc.).
