Potassium is a mineral that the body obtains from fruits and vegetables, among other foods. It is the third most abundant mineral in the metabolism and among its functions is to improve communication between the nerves of the muscles, expel waste from the cells and have the necessary nutrients. So a lack of this mineral can cause muscle weakness, abnormal heart rhythm, constipation, fatigue, a slight rise in blood pressure and diarrhea. So an easy way to get this mineral, is by drinking beverages with an extra dose of potassium. Let’s get to know a few recipes.
