These days we see a lot of people on the streets wearing face masks. And the children, how do they have to wear them?
Can babies wear them?
You can use them from the age of 3.
Are they all the same size?
No. There are 3 different sizes depending on the age of the child. Small from 3 to 5 years, medium from 6 to 9 years and large from 10 to 12 years.
Do we let children wear their masks alone?
No. They should always be supervised by an adult. When they put on, when they take off and during use.
How do we put the mask on?
First they wash their hands with soap and water. The mask is placed on the face covering the nose and mouth. We adjust the outer band behind the ears. Lower the lowest part until it covers the chin. The mask is well adjusted when there are no gaps between the face and the mask.
How do you remove the mask?
If you have gloves, remove them. Wash your hands with soap and water. Remove it from the back without touching the front.
When do you take them off?
Whenever it is wet. You can’t wear them for more than 4 hours at a time. If they can be reused, follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
How do I dispose of them?
Throw them in the trash can at home and make sure the bag is tightly closed. Do not throw them on the floor or in the wastebaskets on the street.
What not to do?
They cannot be worn in a waiting position on the neck or forehead. They are not stored in a pocket or bag for later use. You cannot touch the mask while wearing it.
The mask is an accessory for prevention. It is essential to follow the other prevention measures: physical distance of at least 2 metres, frequent hand washing, when coughing and sneezing you must do so by covering your mouth and nose with a bent elbow and not touching your mouth, nose and eyes. Cleaning surfaces and toys with diluted bleach is also very important.
