Leisure5 Common Problems Faced When Vaping and How to Overcome Them

Vaping, using a vaporizer or e-cigarette device, has quickly become one of the most popular methods of giving up smoking since it was first introduced just a few years ago. Since then, thousands of people have successfully cut down on, or even completely given up traditional cigarettes, switching to the cleaner, healthier option of vaping instead. Recently, studies have shown that people who switch from smoking to vaping are at less risk of conditions such as heart disease or cancer, which are commonly associated with smoking cigarettes. But, vaping isn’t always an easy process – from time to time, something could go wrong with your vape. Here are some common vaporizer problems and how to fix them.

Battery Problems

Even though the majority of vaporizers and e-cigarettes will have a handy rechargeable battery, that doesn’t mean that nothing will ever go wrong with it. After a prolonged period of use, it is not uncommon to see e-cigarette and vaporizer batteries begin to deteriorate, reducing the amount of power output that they produce and affecting the quality of your vape. If you have been using your device for some months, then it could be down to the battery if you find that it just isn’t as strong as it used to be. Check out this best vape battery guide for more information.

Vaporizer Coil

If you’re currently using a box mod or similar type of vaping device, then any issues with its performance could be down to the coil. Vape coils will need to be replaced either when the wire coil has worn out, or when the wick has burned. In general, most vapers find that they need to change their vaporizer coil between every 1-4 weeks, depending on the level of usage. If you are noticing a dry, hot taste when vaping, this is a sure indicator that your coil needs a replacement. Usually, you will be able to buy replacement coils for your model of vaporizer at a reputable supplier. In some cases, you may have a spare coil included with your box mod or kit.

Leaking Liquid

If your e-cigarette or vaporizer is leaking e-juice, it could be down to a range of different problems. The simplest reason could be that you have filled the tank too much and now it is overflowing through any available exits. Additionally, leaking e-liquid could also signify that the coil or the atomizer head is loose, faulty, or has simply come to the end of its life expectancy and needs replacement. If you have found that liquid leaks into your mouth when vaping, there are many ways to prevent this. If it is not an issue with the coil or the atomizer head, then you can avoid the leakage of e-juice into your mouth when vaping by ensuring that you keep the device horizontal when vaping. Additionally, ensure that the coil or atomizer head is firmly screwed in to the clearomizer base.

Since vaporizers are electronic devices, they can sometimes be at risk of overheating. When vaping, you may experience your device heating up during periods of prolonged use, chain vaping, during hot weather, or when charging, for example. However, overheating too much can turn your device into a health and safety hazard. If your device is reaching higher temperatures than it should, the best action to take is to have it thoroughly checked over by a professional, such as an experienced member of the team at your local vape supplier. In some cases, overheating can simply be caused by excessive use. Vaping newcomers often hold their button down for longer than is required, leading to high temperatures. You should never need to hold the button down for any longer than around five seconds when vaping with a high-quality device from a reputable brand.

Burning e-liquid is one of the most common problems faced by vapers, especially those who are new to the world of e-cigarettes. When vaping, tasting burned e-liquid is not a nice experience, so you will want to avoid it as much as possible. Along with this, burning e-liquid can also damage your vaporizer and cause the coil to wear down much quicker. One of the easiest ways to fix this is to turn the voltage and wattage of your device’s battery down when possible. Certain types of e-liquid, for example those made with more or all vegetable glycerine, are thicker and therefore more prone to burning. A burning taste may also be present if there is not enough liquid in the tank.
