Last November, The Direct announced that at Disney+ they were working on a pre-series of The Mandalorian. It is not known, however, if the content will focus again on the figure of Mando or on another character that has a presence in the current series. Today, the aforementioned media has shared more details about the new production, even anticipating some secondary characters that might appear.

The Direct assures, first of all, that the shooting of the prequel of The Mandalorian will start very soon. One option is that it will be a series centered on Boba Fett, a character that is taking center stage in the second season of The Mandalorian. This would be nothing surprising, since Star Wars fans want to know what happened to this Mandalorian after the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. How the hell did he survive the Sarlacc well?

They also share the description of a couple of characters whose final name has not yet been revealed. For the time being, they use an internal name in Lucasfilm:

  • Lacey (secondary character): female from 23 to 30 years old. Strong, leader. She will do anything to achieve her goals, including lying to her own team.
  • Kelton (supporting character): male, 23-27 years old. Athletic. Strong, confident, arrogant character.

The source explains that both characters would belong to some gang in the Star Wars universe. Kelton, for example, seems to be a warrior because of his physical build, while Lacey would be someone who uses his intelligence to take advantage. If we go back to the Boba Fett theme, surely the above mentioned met with a lot of faces while on Tatooine. Let’s face it, his appearance in The Mandalorian was a surprise.

It is really complicated to give coherence to the information because it lacks fundamental details. Therefore, it’s best to take the report slowly and wait for a confirmation from Disney -assuming that the prequel to The Mandalorian with Boba Fett actually exists. In November, The Direct itself said that Jordan Bolger (Peaky Blinders, The 100) was one of the actors already on board the project, but we don’t know his role either.
