It was a matter of time after the first official images were released by Tom Holland himself, but we finally have with us the first trailer for the Uncharted movie, based on the famous video game series from Naughty Dog and PlayStation.

The film, which has suffered several delays since it was first announced a few (many) years ago, seems to have been taking shape with a stellar cast, including Mark Wahlberg and Tom Holland and Antonio Banderas also as antagonist.

However, it seems that this time the production has gone smoothly, since the first image of Tom Holland as Nathan Drake was shown, only a few months have passed, and now we have the trailer of a film that is already in all its splendor, counting the days for its release.

According to the original synopsis of the movie, it has a lot to do with the games, although you can see from the trailer it doesn’t follow the timeline of the franchise to the same level as the numbered games. In fact, the trailer itself shows some of the video games’ most stellar moments above, such as the mythical plane scene from 3 or the ships:

Based on one of the best-selling and critically acclaimed video game series of all time, Uncharted introduces audiences to the young and wily Nathan Drake (Tom Holland) and showcases his first treasure-hunting adventure with wisecracking partner Victor “Sully” Sullivan ( Mark Wahlberg). In an action-adventure epic that spans the globe, the two go in search of “the greatest treasure ever found” while following clues that may lead to Nathan’s missing brother.

Uncharted is directed by Ruben Fleischer with screenplay by Rafe Judkins and Art Marcum & Matt Holloway and stars Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg, Sophia Ali Tati Gabrielle and Antonio Banderas, among others.

If nothing changes, Uncharted will be released exclusively in theaters on February 18, 2022.
