More than 20 people, including the alleged perpetrator, have died and another 100 have been injured in a shootout recorded on Sunday night at an outdoor music concert held in the vicinity of the Mandalay Bay casino hotel in the city of Las Vegas.

Of the wounded, 14 are in critical condition, a spokeswoman for the local university hospital has confirmed.

According to the CNBC news network, the author of the massacre, which he shot with an automatic 32-floor casino hotel, has been identified as Stephen Paddock, a 64-year-old man from Las Vegas. The police have shot him down and believe there are no other attackers. In a press conference, the head of the Nevada Police, Joseph Lombardo, has declared that “we believe that it is a lone wolf”.
