The curfew that will apply for at least four weeks to the Paris region and eight other urban areas of France will begin next Saturday in order to prevent the escalation of COVID-19 infections, which is putting great pressure on hospitals.

The government spokesman, Gabriel Attal, confirmed this on Thursday in an interview with the radio station “France Info” in which he specified that from Saturday, the curfew hours will be from 21.00 to 6.00 in the morning and that there will be an “adaptation period”, which he did not specify, before fines are imposed.
