When we try to edit a photograph using Gimp, Photoshop or any other tool, we have to know several techniques depending on what we are editing. Some of these techniques are really hard to learn and the results are not always what we looked for.

It is not the same to solve a defect in a face that fix problems in a sky or give more color to the leaves of a tree, and that identification must be done manually, using our intelligence, intuition and knowledge to obtain the best possible results.

It is at this point that PhotoLemur wants to help. It is a new editor for Windows and Mac that uses Artificial Intelligence to recognize what is in each photo, making edits automatically depending on what you are focusing on. Photolemur recognizes objects, faces, trees, sky, foliage and other elements, and understands the type of photo (landscape, portrait, macro, etc.) to perform the appropriate editing.

No need to adjust any variables, just upload the photo and press the button. The results improve what many of us, who are not fond of photography, could achieve with much effort.

A nice tool for users who do not want complications (and yes, I am one of them).

  1. I don’t know what they call it artificial intelligence, while they want to say automated functions.
