Sony postponed the PS5 catalogue launch event without confirming a new date for it, and while many suggested that the delay would not be long, the uncertainty in the US meant that any launch window was up for grabs.
Now it seems that Sony has confirmed, a new date for its star event, in which we will presumably know much more about Sony’s console sizes, including one of the most important factors: the games with which Sony will bring the PS5 to the market.
As usual in new console releases, the initial contents are quite scarce, and many of them have to do with adaptations of the current catalogue for the new generation. However, the changes in hardware that PS5, and especially its SSD, implies, anticipate that we will have a very interesting catalogue of the launch.
Be that as it may, the new PS5 launch event will be on June 11, 2020, which coincides just one week later than originally scheduled.
This is therefore a very important date for the community, as it could reveal not only part of the release catalogue, but also the specific date of its arrival in the shops or such important parts as its design, which is still an unknown quantity beyond the control.
