A Twitter user calling himself Zeus has admitted to being the dumbest or unluckiest person in the world: he accidentally bought a PlayStation Plus subscription up to 2031, spending over $1,000 in the process. The user, with a ZeusOfAimAssist account, is already crossing his fingers that the Sony service will be transferred to the PlayStation 7 or any console that comes to market in the next 11 years.
The story begins when he was about to renew, as he has done in the past, his PlayStation Plus subscription, but he set about doing other things. Instead of extending it by a year, Zeus accidentally spent more money than he expected and will now be linked to the Japanese console until 2031. “I am officially the dumbest or unluckiest person in the world,” he wrote on his Twitter account: “I had been playing on PC all day and even though I didn’t know it, my controller was still connected to my PS4 and he bought my membership repeatedly”.
If it had been hacked, Zeus would have been much calmer, but the reality is that it wasn’t. A few moments before complaining on the social network, the user had written another rather exalted and angry tweet claiming that his bank had blocked his credit card after someone had logged into his account and spent that huge amount of money. In effect, it was him.
