Polaroid has launched Hi-Print, a pocket photo printer, with a dimension of 17.50 x 10.10 x 4.60cm, which will allow us to print 2×3 photos in less than a minute.
We must remember that Polaroid was about to close in 2008, but a group of fans saved the last Polaroid factory and has been producing cameras and films since then. The Impossible Project became Polaroid Originals in 2017, and then Polaroid in March of this year.
With this new brand this first product is launched, a portable dye sublimation printer, Polaroid Hi-Print, with all-in-one print cartridges, paired with an iOS / Android mobile application via Bluetooth.
This requires the app on the mobile, from where we can add filters, overlays, frames, text and more. We will then send the result to the printer, which prints on a sheet of credit card sized photo paper, uses heat and has a water and smudge resistant coating.
Each cartridge contains 10 sheets of 54 x 86mm photo paper, and the printer battery should hold 20 prints per charge.
The Hi-Print is now available for a suggested retail price of $99.99. As always, the ink and paper are expensive. A two-pack of cartridges costs $16.99.
