Cyberpunk 2077 is now available. The premiere of the CD game Projekt RED has been a success. Despite being a single-player pay title, Cyberpunk 2077 has registered a peak of more than 1 million simultaneous users on Steam, and we are talking about a seven-digit figure for a premiere.
As we can see in SteamDB, the dystopian adventure of the Polish studio is the title with the most players on Steam after reaching a maximum of 1,003,264 simultaneous players in the early hours of the morning. Such was the number of players waiting to start the adventure that, as we can see in DownDetector, the Steam servers suffered problems when the game was released.
Not only that, but the 1+ million simultaneous players is a new record for a single-player game in Steam history, far ahead of titles like Fallout 4. In fact, there are only three other games on the entire platform that have surpassed the one million concurrent users: DOTA 2 (maximum of 1,295,114), CS:GO (1,308,963) and PUBG (3,257,248), all three of which are multiplayer titles.
Will Cyberpunk 2077 beat its own record tonight?
