Netflix continues to expand its horizons in terms of entertainment, now in addition to movies and series, the streaming platform will feature video games. That is, for now only on mobile devices.
Starting today, Netflix users around the world will be able to play five mobile games: Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Card Blast and Teeter (Up).
Here are all the details so you can start playing right away:
1: Your Netflix membership is your all-access pass.
All you need is a Netflix membership – enjoy an experience with no ads, no extra fees and no in-app purchases.
2: Available for Android worldwide
Mobile games are currently available for Android devices.
If you’re on your Android cell phone, you’ll see a dedicated row of games and a tab where you can select any game to download.
If you are on your Android tablet, you will see a dedicated row of games or you can download them from the category drop-down menu and start playing.
3: Available to members worldwide
Mobile games are available in many of the languages offered on the platform, so your games will automatically adjust to the language preference set in your Netflix profile. If your language is not yet available, the games will be in English by default.
4: And, yes; they are available to all profiles on your account.
Members will be able to play on multiple mobile devices on the same account. If you reach the device limit, you will receive a warning and, if necessary, you can log out of devices that are not in use or remotely disable them from the Netflix.com website to free up space.
5: Available on adult profiles only
These games are not available on children’s profiles. If you set a PIN to prevent them from using adult profiles, that same PIN will be required to log in to Netflix and play on a device.
6: No connection, no problem!
While some mobile games may require an active internet connection, others will be available for offline play. So your long trips and waiting in places with little wifi will be much more tolerable.
7: Something to make sure no one misses out on a game
The games are designed for any level of difficulty and for any style of game, whether you are a beginner or a lifelong gamer.
As the months go by, new games will be added to the platform.
