The popular battle royale game, PUBG, has relaunched in free-to-play form.

It can be downloaded for free on both PC and consoles, and a new launch trailer has been released.

New players will start with a basic free account, which has access to most of the game’s content. After that, there is the option to upgrade to a premium account that unlocks more content.

Players who have already purchased the game in its paid version will automatically have Battlegrounds Plus accounts, and will get a commemorative rewards pack.

As usual with game releases, there is a drop program related to this new release on different platforms. Rewards will be earned for completing in-game missions, inviting friends to the game and watching streams.

The latest update, version 15.2, adds new features such as a drone and new tutorials.

PUBG’s popularity exploded four years ago, popularizing the battle royale genre before Fortnite hit the scene. It remains extremely popular, with around 370,000 concurrent players on Steam at the moment.
