Amazon’s massively multiplayer action role-playing game started its early access yesterday before opening for free to all players next Friday.

Yesterday was one of the days marked in red on the calendar of fans of video games on PC as it was officially released Lost Ark, the massively multiplayer role-playing and action title from SmileGate that has already been successful in South Korea and Russia for a few years, now landing in Europe, Latin America and the United States by the hand of Amazon Games.

The game is actually a free-to-play that will open the doors to all players for free next Friday, February 11, but since yesterday players who had purchased one of the founders packs could start their adventure in Arkadia thanks to an early access… that began with a failure in the Steam servers that caused that during the first hour of life of Lost Ark many players could not download the title.

Luckily this bug was fixed within an hour by Valve and normality was restored, with purchasers of the founder’s packs slowly entering the servers to confirm that Lost Ark has debuted on the right foot by becoming the sixth highest peak player game in Steam history, achieving 532,476 concurrent souls enjoying their first steps in Arkadia yesterday. This is a tremendous figure for a game that for now is only surpassed by a few titans of the industry and other great mass phenomena. You have the TOP 10 games with the highest peak players on Steam below:

  1. PUBG – 3,257,248
  2. CS:GO – 1,308,963
  3. DOTA 2 – 1,295,114
  4. Cyberpunk 2077 – 1,054,388
  5. New World – 913,634
  6. Lost Ark – 532,476
  7. Valheim – 502,387
  8. Terraria – 489,886
  9. Capcom Arcade Stadium – 488,791
  10. Fallout 4 – 472,962

It is also likely that the peak of players reached yesterday by Lost Ark will be higher during the weekend, both because players have more time to be able to play and because from Friday the game will be completely free and everyone who wants to can play it and try what seems to be the new mass phenomenon among PC lovers.

Yesterday Lost Ark was also a success on Twitch, Amazon’s streaming platform, where yesterday more than 1.2 million viewers gathered to watch the game and their favorite streamers, as well as having the chance to win different prizes for the game while watching certain live streams.
