Lost Ark players are still queuing for hours to access the free-to-play game. The situation is particularly serious in Europe, so Amazon Games has announced that it is launching a new server region for users in the old continent, which will, however, be separate from Central Europe and will not have inter-regional play. Until the work is finished, we will have to be patient.
“We’ve been blown away by the number of players who have joined us in Lost Ark since our launch on Friday,” says Amazon Games. “Arkesia is bursting with enthusiastic players, so we’re working as quickly as possible to set up a completely new server region in Europe. Based on the game’s architecture, this is the only way to accommodate more players in Europe, so it’s a joint effort between Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG […].”
“While we understand that long wait times may persist, we will need time to make sure everything is set up in the best way to help accommodate all the players who want to get into the game,” the company adds. Lost Ark continues to register more than one million concurrent players every day and not a few users, new or veteran, have to queue for hours to access the game.
Amazon Games warns that this new region will be “distinct and separate from Central Europe, with no cross-region game availability.” “This also means that regionally available features, such as the Central European Royal Crystal and Silver balance, will not be available in the new European region.” For that reason, it is recommended that this new region be used by players who have not yet created a character or who have not yet decided which server they want to settle on.
“If you plan to start in the new region, you may want to wait to claim any ‘per account’ items, such as the additional founder’s pack, until you have created a character and can redeem it in the new region,” Amazon Games warns.
