This week’s free games from the Epic Games Store let you conquer Westeros from Game of Thrones or have your own car repair shop
This week Epic Games Store is offering two free games, which you can claim now and keep forever, to download and play whenever you want and increase your game collection.
Epic Store’s free games of the week are A Game of Thrones: The Board Game and Car Mechaning Simulator 2, available for free between Thursday, June 23 and Thursday, June 30.
From June 30, they will make free two other games from their catalog that they have already announced: Geneforge 1 – Mutagen and Iruatus: Lord of the Dead.
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game
First let’s take a look at this week’s free games. A Game of Thrones: The Board Game, as the name suggests, is the digital edition of the Game of Thrones Board Game.
A strategy game that you can play alone against five AI-controlled opponents, or against six online players, each taking the role of one of the great houses of the seven kingdoms after the death of Robert Baratheon.
The Starks, Lannisters, Greyjoys, Martells, Tyrells and Baratheons. Each of these houses fared better or worse in George R R Martin’s novels and the HBO series, but in this game you are the author, and it’s up to you to “change history”.
A Game of Thrones: The Board Game is available for free until June 30 from the Epic Games Store (regular price is $19.99).
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018
The other free game is Car Mechanic Simulator 2018, whose name also says it all: a simulator in which you run a car workshop: you can paint, repair and tune all kinds of cars (40 copies, from classics to sports cars).
You have more than 1000 parts, photorealistic graphics and infinite replayability to make your garage become the most popular. Car Mechanic Simulator is the ideal game for car and mechanic lovers, and if you can’t learn thanks to its tutorials. Remember, it’s completely free!
Car Mechanic Simulator 2018 is available for free until June 30 on Epic Games Store (usual price is $15.99).
Next week’s games
Next week’s games are very different. On the one hand, Iratus: Lord of the Dead, developed by Unfrozen and published by Daedalic Entertainment in 2020, is a turn-based dungeon exploration tactical RPG.
You will lead an army of undead embodying a freed necromancer who has spent millennia imprisoned, who can form an army with 19 types of minions, such as zombies, vampires, mummies or skeletons.
The goal of this dark fantasy game is quite sinister: to ascend to the surface world and destroy the mortal realm.
On the other hand, Geneforge 1 – Mutagen is quite a classic originally released in 2001, and its graphics denote it. But this improved version is a fantasy RPG in which you also create an army of monsters, but they are mutants that you create yourself with great freedom, while exploring an island full of secrets.
Geneforge was a visionary game that offers more than 50 hours of gameplay without running out of surprises and discoveries, giving total freedom to the player to explore and use the strategies you want.
